Contemplate My Son on the Cross... October 28th, 2023

At Medjugorje in the evening at the veneration of the Holy Cross, pondering...

Without the cross life is nothing, because it is only that through the cross that life begins. The Cross leads us to life, through the life of Christ...

“My son died for you. Contemplate on what it cost for the God Man, My Son, to first lower Himself to the confines of human existence and then be torn apart by hatred, scourging and nails: to be immolated on the cross, all the while begging for love, and all the while, giving Love. Each wound, each laceration proclaims the love of My son for you. Each drop of blood shed, brings infinite merits to those who desire them with contrite and humble hearts. Harken to His lament in the garden. Harken to His cry of love for the Father: ‘Let thy will be done.’ Let that cry of love resound even louder in your heart as He draws near every Eucharist and also as you look upon Him lifeless on the Cross.

Love My son. Love Him and be true to Him. Offer your love, your sacrifice to Him. Cover Him with the warmth of your love as He hangs there shivering from trauma, gazing upon the hatred of the crowds. Alleviate His suffering by the loving embrace of your cross for Him. Then go out and alleviate the suffering of the poor ones of God's kingdom whom God sends into your life. See Christ in them and love them as you love Christ; as Christ loves you. Give My Son’s love to them. My motherly love will cover you, and My spouse the Holy Spirit will guide you. Go now, and follow the footsteps of My Son.”
