With childlike trust… October 25, 2023
In Medjugorje...
Just two weeks previously, I still had not committed to to go to Medjugorje with the group that I had previously gone with. I was so undecided whether to go or not, as I was looking at the cost, and the time, and my intentions: Was it really out of a desire for me to honour Mary and Jesus, to really go on a pilgrimage, or was it really to see another country and go for various other selfish reasons? If someone were to have asked me within 4 minutes if I was going, I would have given at least 4 different answers: I think so... Maybe... No ... I don't know. So that week, I had been visiting some friends for a few days, whom I had met at Medjugorje just the previous year, and who had brought a blessed statue of Our Lady back from Medjugorje. I was so frustrated at my indecision that in the evening before the day I was to go, in prayer, I implored Our Lady if she really wanted me to go to Medjugorje, that She had to let me know decisively: yes or no!
The next morning, after breakfast, we were going to pray the Rosary together before I left. The focal point was that statue of Mary from Medjugorje. Just as we started the first Hail Mary, and I was viewing Her statue, I heard Mother Mary speak so clearly in my heart in her beautiful voice, but very solemnly: “I desire that you come to Medjugorje.” There was a short pause, and then she spoke again, but with such glowing excitement: “Will you come and make Me happy?!!” How could I resist that invitation?
At Adoration...
My Jesus and Mary, I am here to make you happy! Take my heart and make it more yours...
“With childlike trust in Me, offer Us your heart. My Mother will guard it, weed and water it, and then, purified at My Mother’s hand, She will give it to Me. Always, in childlike trust, abandon your will to Mine. Engage into prayer at every moment, offering Me your every breath and beat of your heart. You have expressed your desire to Me in the secret recesses of your heart. Now, leave them with Me to take care of. Your ‘job’ is to now go forward, moment by moment, not looking back nor forward, but moving always within the path that I have placed you: in this moment, then the next moment, then the next. This movement of grace then follows you as you pour out My blessings and hope upon a starving world, so in need of a Redeemer, within these so arid confines of the world. Go, and conquer souls for Me, fearing nothing. I Am...!”
