Fear not: it is I!… January 7, 2026
Reflecting on today's reading in front of the Blessed Sacrament: Mark 6:45-52
“In truth, I am the living God. In truth, I Am! In truth, I Am the Way, the Light and the Truth: your Way, your Light, the Truth whom you need to seek, for I am Truth itself: ineffable, inconceivable to human knowledge; contradictory to the world now as the contradiction of the Cross still is to many. Yet, in Me is everything: peace, joy, safety and redemption. Within Me, your way is safeguarded. In Me, your fear turns to peace. In Me, joy reigns. In Me, new life begins. Turn your gaze upon Me. Oh, the torturous seas, the foaming waves, the darkening skies, the fiercest gales: they are nothing when you ask Me to walk upon them in your life and within your heart.
Fear not: it is I! I calm each and every storm. Reach out to Me; cry out to Me in your fear. Even within the tumultuous noise of Satan, trying to drown out peace and calm, I hear your voice. Just as I walked past My disciples, over the waves, in order for them to see my Presence and to be encouraged within the storm, Me above the storm and not subject to it: I waited for their cry, and turned to them and responded with My assurance that I am the God of miracles and the King of kings. I Am! Poor humanity, who has to taste the dregs of fear before they cry out to Me: but cry out! Cry out to Me even when you only see the storm, still on the horizon! Do not wait until the 11th hour, but with strong faith be assured that I am, and will be, always with you. As I said once before to you, I am the Mariner who calms the sea. I am the King of kings beyond and above all things. No matter what the horizon may look like, no matter the storms that will surround you physically as well as spiritually: Fear not: it is I!”
